MOFPI/PMFEMF

MOFPI stands for Ministry of Food Processing Industries, a government body in India responsible for promoting and regulating the food processing sector. It formulates policies, supports infrastructure development, and provides financial assistance to food processing businesses.

PMFME stands for Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises scheme, launched by MOFPI. It aims to support unorganized micro food processing enterprises by providing:

  • Financial assistance (credit-linked subsidy of 35% of project cost, up to ₹10 lakh)
  • Training and skill development
  • Branding and marketing support
  • Infrastructure and technology upgradation

This scheme is part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and focuses on One District One Product (ODOP) approach to boost local food industries.
